WHAT COSTS ARE INVOLVED?

A team member is required to pay a £15 non-refundable booking fee and £35 for each week of help given (this figure may vary slightly according to the venue). The booking fee should be sent with the application form and the balance for each week given to the Team Leader on arrival. The booking fee includes the purchase of 2 Open-Air Mission t-shirts and one sweatshirt. More of these items can be purchased at very reasonable cost, if required. If an application is refused, the booking fee will be refunded.If you have been on a team before and you are able to bring your OAM shirts from the previous year, then we will reduce the cost of the non-refundable deposit to £8.

WHEN DO I NEED TO BOOK?

The closing date to apply if you have an up-to-date Police check with The Open-Air Mission is Friday, 2nd July. The closing date to apply if you have never had a Police check is Friday, 22nd May. Please do not leave applying until the deadline, as the Police check can be very slow. If your Police check does not come through within a few days of the Beach Mission starting, then we will not be able to accept you onto the team.  Once we have received notification that your Police check has been successfully carried out, we will write to you of your acceptance onto the team.  (Please note that Police Checks are required for all applicants).  It would be extremely helpful if you felt able to offer a second choice of week or weeks.
