My Christian parents brought me up faithfully under the sound of the gospel message. At the age of ten I went away to a Christian camp on the Isle of Wight. Through hearing the testimonies of the leaders and being challenged through the messages I heard, I realised that I was a sinner who personally needed to be saved. In my tent late one night, I knelt by my sleeping bag and cried out to God in prayer. I came to know the wonderful blessing of my sins being forgiven. It was not until the age of nineteen that I realised the true cost of following Jesus Christ. Feeling weary of being squeezed into a mould and being tempted by the pull of a promising career, I turned down a place at University. I felt the Lord challenging me from His word. I saw that if my faith was real then it demanded 100%. The Lord has lead me in a very different direction since then. How I praise Him for all that He has done for me, and for the privilege of being in His service.
