Greg Anderson in Inverness – ‘A middle-aged lady named Maria, who had moved from the Czech Republic to live in the city, stood for a while listening to the preaching. She came over to speak at the end of the message and claimed that she was a Christian, but didn’t seem to understand the need for personal salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus. However, she was pleased to receive literature and we trust that the Lord will work in her heart’.
Joe Bailey in Leicester – ‘A young man in his mid-20s called Alex had spoken to me months ago in the open-air. He is a ‘revolutionary’ kind of chap, really into art and changing the world! Last time we spoke he was very unwilling to accept the truth and kind of fl oated around in his sea of post-modern ideas. He walked by me today and I noticed him and gained his attention. He remembered our previous conversation and this time I felt it was right to get straight to the point and be very direct with him. I talked about the paths to heaven or hell and that we are all on one or the other. He clearly sobered at the reality that he will soon be in eternity. He was quiet and thanked me for the conversation and went on his way’.
Colin Cromie in Lisburn – ‘We would value prayer for a chap called Ian, whom we first met 2 years ago in Lisburn. He retired as a school teacher on health grounds several years before. To begin with he was quite hostile to the gospel, but as time has passed by we have become good friends. He now finds it strange that we don’t ‘attempt to convert him anymore’ (as he says), and only talk about spiritual matters as and when he asks questions. He has been to church on a couple of occasions. We try to meet Ian for coffee from time to time, simply to show friendship and concern for his health’.
Bob Hutton in Canterbury – ‘Please pray for a man named Robert. I have spoken to him occasionally over about 8 years now. He is slowly progressing through the New Testament and seems to be taking more and more on board. He comes and finds me when I’m giving out tracts and asks various questions about what he has been reading. I do believe he is not far from the kingdom’.
Andrew McGee in Bangor – ‘On Saturday mornings I continue to give out tracts in the centre of town. I have spoken with Judy on many occasions. She seems very interested in Christian things and has even been along to church with me a couple of times. She says she loves to hear the gospel hymns. However, Judy isn’t yet saved so please pray for her’.
Mike Mellor in Bournemouth – ‘Sharon pulled me aside during an open-air meeting, saying she wanted to speak confidentially. She admitted to being gay, and attended the Metropolitan Community Church, (Gay/Homosexual church). Yet although living with a female partner, knows deep within that her lifestyle is wrong. As I took her to various scriptures, Sharon spoke of her desire to be obedient to God’.
