J P Earnest & Fiona

Field Operation Manager
OAM Office and North Wales

I had the great privilege of being brought up in a Christian home. Through the regular input of the local Evangelical Church that I attended at the time, and through an OAM Beach Mission in my home seaside town of Rhosneigr on the Isle of Anglesey, The Lord saved me.

Around the age of fifteen I began to be involved in children’s outreach, first in the church, then beach missions and later taking school assemblies locally. My desire to reach people with the message of the gospel has continually grown. On a beach mission in Weston-Super-Mare I was given the opportunity to preach in the open-air. Although I was a very reluctant volunteer, the Lord gave me help and He began to impress upon me a burden to be involved in this kind of outreach. I became an Associate worker with the Mission and then in 2006 began working as a Probationary Evangelist.

Throughout the years the words of the Lord Jesus in Luke 4:43 have been a challenge and inspiration to me. ‘I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: because for this purpose I have been sent’. Over the last year I have seen the Lord at work, and witnessed many encouragements as a result. I have certainly visited many “other cities also”. However, as I begin in full-time service, the Lord has brought me back to my home area of North Wales. Sadly, an area, which has grown spiritually dull, but then, we have a God who is mighty to save!
